FANTANKA Strengthens Collaboration with Gambia National Library
FANTANKA continues to engage stakeholders in meaningful ways! Today, we had a productive meeting with the Director General of the Gambia National Library to explore potential collaboration on our #ATJLF-funded project, which focuses on crucial memorialization initiatives.
During the meeting, we discussed how a partnership with the Gambia National Library could enhance our efforts to preserve and promote the historical narratives of our community. The library’s extensive resources and commitment to cultural preservation make it an ideal ally in our mission to honor the memories of those who have contributed to our collective history.
Our project aims to create a series of memorialization activities that not only recognize significant events and figures but also foster community engagement and awareness. By collaborating with the library, we hope to tap into its vast audience and expertise, ensuring that our initiatives reach diverse groups and create lasting impact.
The Director General expressed enthusiasm for the potential partnership, highlighting the library’s role as a hub for knowledge and cultural exchange. Together, we envision developing educational programs, workshops, and exhibitions that encourage dialogue and reflection on our shared history.
