FANTANKA Advances Children’s Network on Transitional Justice
We are excited to announce that FANTANKA is actively building a #ChildrenNetwork on Transitional Justice (TJ) as part of our ongoing efforts to empower young people. Today, we concluded a fruitful partnership meeting with @GambiaNYP and @GambiaNYC, two organizations dedicated to fostering youth engagement in human rights and social justice.
This collaborative effort aims to create a platform for children and young adults to shape and contribute to transitional justice processes in the Gambia. By bringing together champions of youth advocacy, we are working to ensure that the voices of young people are heard and recognized in discussions surrounding justice, reconciliation, and human rights.
During the meeting, we shared insights on how to effectively engage youth in transitional justice initiatives, focusing on education, advocacy, and community involvement. Our partners expressed their commitment to empowering young leaders, recognizing the vital role they play in driving social change and promoting a culture of human rights.
We believe that involving young people in these critical conversations not only enriches the process but also fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility for the future of their communities. Together, we aim to build a strong network that encourages collaboration, creativity, and active participation among youth.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to engage stakeholders and expand our efforts to empower the next generation in shaping a just and equitable society!
